January 11, 2017 Web Designer

Finding someone to design a website for you two decades back was actually easier than it is today. This is because very few people had websites in those days and only very few people could actually design them. But the story is different now with umpteen number of web designers. So choosing one from the pile is very tough. Just hiring a company who is on the first page of Google for the services you want will not do, because then you know that you may be hiring someone who is just very good at SEO, and may be not so much in web designing. So here are a few pointers you need to keep in mind.

1. When you hire professional web designer, the first thing you need to do is look at their website. Are you impressed by it? You want a website that is going to impress people, don’t you? So you should look to hire professional web designer whose website impresses you.

2. To hire freelance professional web designer, another thing you should keep in mind is that you shouldn’t disregard the people who may not have done a lot of work in the industry your website will be in. Direct experience in your industry don’t really count as much as whether you like someone’s work.

3. Sometimes when you hire freelance professional web designer, you need to trust your instincts. Hire someone you know you can trust. Are you sure that the salesperson of the web designing company is not just selling you and will actually deliver? When going for a freelancer, sometimes trusting one’s instincts is a good idea. Whether it is the deadline, timetable, schedule or productivity, do you think that the person you are thinking of hiring is not just all talk?

4. When you are talking to different web designers, don’t forget to make sure who is going to own the code at the end of the job. If the web designer you are hiring is going to own the code and your website, then you are going to be in trouble. Why? Because if there are problems after the site is delivered, you have to run to the designer again as an obligation, not because you want to. Owning your code will mean that you have options open in front of you.
